Past Quotes

A few of my past quotes have included:

"I wrote a song for you today while I was sitting in my room. I jumped up on my bed today and played it on a broom. I didn't think that it would be a song that you would hear, but when I played it in my head, I made you reappear. I wrote a video for it and I acted out each part. Then I took your picture out and taped it to my heart. I've taped you to my heart dear girl, I've taped you to my heart and if you pull away from me you'll tear my life apart.. ."

- Saul Williams

"Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice,
Appears under your feet."

- Roger Waters

I'm followin' the trends,
'cause I wanna have some friends."

- The Dead Milkmen

When Virginia Woolf wrote every woman needs a room of ones own she must have been talking about the kitchen.

Hrmph

It's not that I don't want to keep updating, but that damned Facebook site is just so . . . well, you know.

But I am still here and have a few updates for yaz:

1. Las Vegas is one of the best cities EVER (Montreal still tops the charts though).

2. Rank Radio is a dying concept - not off the table completely, but dormant for now.

3. Game 3 of the Aduchan Classic will take place in Philidalphia this year Thursday Feb 28, 2008.

4. If you're curious to see my IMDB movie rankings, click on the fololowing link: http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=2554961

5. Only 9 people voted, but The Exorcist turned out to be your choice for the movie which scared you as a child. Also, Spiderman kicked Superman's ass.

6. 'Little Britain' is so very very funny.

That is all for now - some cool vegas pics to come.

Sad News Day

I just found out that Ron Simonsen from “How’s Your News” was diagnosed with leukemia in February. Apparently he has found a bone marrow match but is still, obviously, fighting for his life. If you are a fan, you can check for updates on his condition at their website.

T.V. Party

The new television season is here and although I have been unable to get into many new shows because of the move, I still have a few thoughts.

Watch For:

Lost (Season 2) : It's trendy but good. Check out season one before getting into it. There was an episode near the end of Season 1 that recaps most of the series, so if you don't have much spare time then rent this episode. I hope they can live up to their season finale

Smallville (Season 5) : A dirty secret. It's not even a great show, but I'm a sucker for all super heroperhero related. Comic geeks will be pleased to hear that this season is rumoured to feature both Brainiac (played by James Marsters) and Aquaman.

Survivor: Guatemala: Looks promising if you are into this sort of thing. I'm on board with hating most reality T.V., but Survivor had me hooked since the very first episode and I just can't shake the addiction. For the record, anyone out there who hates the show and feels the need to tell fans how much it sucks, give it a rest. You just aren't being edgy or unique or making a difference in anybody's opinion of the show.

Disappointments:

My Name is Earl : Jason Lee deserves better than this. I don't know why, he just does.

The War At Home : I don't know why I used to expect good things from Michael Rapaport (notice I said 'used to'), though I suspect True Romance had an impact on my delusions.

R.I.P.:

Dead Like Me: Cancelled after two seasons, this wasn't a great show but it was still damn funny. There are not many T.V. shows that make me laugh these days, but this was one of them.

Carnivale: Also cancelled after two seasons. I can't comment on Season 2, but Season 1 was fantastic. Be warned, apparently the series ends off with a cliff hanger and there are no plans for future projects surrounding the Carnivale universe.
