Recess

Soaking in dismal, dampened down-filled shrouds
We boil and freeze in the snow and sleet
And trudge our way through another play time.

Now is the time where we learn of life
The politics attached to the gift of breathe
And the frustrations of controlled freedom.

And then . . .

In the soulless clang of the rusty bell
Eternal minutes are complete
We are herded back inside the walls
Forced to reinforce our lessons.

Why I Don’t Post Every Day

Today I woke up and had to pee really bad. Really bad. To the point that my groin hurt. So I got out of bed and went to the bathroom and peed. My groin didn’t hurt anymore. Then I went back to bed. I woke up again swearing at the alarm clock. Then I hit snooze. Then I woke up again. Then I hit snooze. Then I woke up again. Then I hit snooze. Then I swore at my cat for meowing. Then I got up. Then I fed my cat. Then I turned on the shower. Then I showered. Then I turned off the shower. My inner thigh was itchy so then I scratched it. Then I dried off. Then I brushed my teeth. Then I shaved (my face). Then I dried my face. Then I peed again.

Past Quotes

A few of my past quotes have included:

"I wrote a song for you today while I was sitting in my room. I jumped up on my bed today and played it on a broom. I didn't think that it would be a song that you would hear, but when I played it in my head, I made you reappear. I wrote a video for it and I acted out each part. Then I took your picture out and taped it to my heart. I've taped you to my heart dear girl, I've taped you to my heart and if you pull away from me you'll tear my life apart.. ."

- Saul Williams

"Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice,
Appears under your feet."

- Roger Waters

I'm followin' the trends,
'cause I wanna have some friends."

- The Dead Milkmen

When Virginia Woolf wrote every woman needs a room of ones own she must have been talking about the kitchen.

Aduchan Classic

It took me a long long while (and I know that no one is actually reading this which suits my inattentiveness just fine). I guess since my Sens got ousted from the play offs I’m a little bored. Anyhew, in February/March the third game of the Aduchan Classic took place (unbeknownst to the players of course, but completely 'knownst' to me and my friend Bri). Sadly, while the Sens were up two games, they (quite aptly given their sadly played 2nd half of the season) tanked in Philly and thusly give Bri an opportunity to make this a series come 2008/2009. We’ll see . . .

One Hell of A Month

October was once my favourite month. This October of the year two-thousand and seven has been shite. I am in my 19th day of cleansing as part of a pact with five of my friends. The rules - no booze, no smokes, no fun from October 1st to October 27th (with one day off which I used in Atlanta) or else you're out 50 bucks. the question is, with only eight days left to go, will I crack? I have a craving to smoke on an hourly basis (when I started, I barely cared about it) and now that it is the week-end, the urge to crack open my twelve dollar bottle of rye is growing.

More Random Thoughts

1. I hate the new Hotmail.
2. I am less than satisfied with Rogers.
3. My car is broken and I am stagnant.
4. If all works out I am going to be crossing three more arenas off my Sens list this year: Toronto, Atlanta and Philly (game 3 of the aduchan classic)- huzzah!
5. I am sick.
6. Why is Facebook not a part of my daily internet life?
7. Why am I not writing anymore?

Hrmph

It's not that I don't want to keep updating, but that damned Facebook site is just so . . . well, you know.

But I am still here and have a few updates for yaz:

1. Las Vegas is one of the best cities EVER (Montreal still tops the charts though).

2. Rank Radio is a dying concept - not off the table completely, but dormant for now.

3. Game 3 of the Aduchan Classic will take place in Philidalphia this year Thursday Feb 28, 2008.

4. If you're curious to see my IMDB movie rankings, click on the fololowing link: http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=2554961

5. Only 9 people voted, but The Exorcist turned out to be your choice for the movie which scared you as a child. Also, Spiderman kicked Superman's ass.

6. 'Little Britain' is so very very funny.

That is all for now - some cool vegas pics to come.

Horror Poll Part 2

Thanks for voting in my horror poll. There was a 3 way tie for the most traumatic horror movie, so I guess it's time for a tie breaker: (for the record, if you weren't a child then pick the movie that freaked you out as an adult)

Which of the following horror films had the most traumatic effect on you as a youngster?
A Nightmare on Elm Street
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Exorcist
